How To Register for Your Certification Exam
The Minnesota Certification Board is responsible for administering all of the peer certification exams in Minnesota. They use a tool called Certemy for students to apply, submit their required documents and book their test date.
To make this process faster and easier, we have created a step-by-step guide to accessing your account, filling out your information, submitting your documents and scheduling your certification test.

MCB administers tests for several different certifications. The first step to setting up your account is to find the “Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) option. Watch the video below or click here to get to the right place now.
Create Your Account & Verify Your Email & Certemy Account
The next step is to create your account. Type your name exactly as it shows on your identification and use the email address you check most often.
FINALLY it’s time to verify your account.
Complete Your Application
There are a number of forms and documents you will need to complete in order to schedule your exam – but have no fear, we have broken it down into sections below so that if you don’t have everything you need, you can come back and finish it later.

For your proof of high school or GED achievement, you do NOT need official transcripts – you can just take and upload a picture of your diploma, transcript or any documentation that proves you completed this requirement.

This section is a breeze – you are simply confirming & acknowledging that the information you have provided is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you have reviewed and understand the supervision requirements and Code of Ethics for working as a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist.

Section 5 – OPTIONAL Documentation of Disability Related Needs
This section is only required if you have a disability that requires special accommodations for testing. If you do choose to submit this form you MUST do it with your doctor and it will add significant time to the certification process.
Section 6 – Register For Your Exam
You’re almost done! Follow the next few steps to get registered for your exam– once you have completed this, you will receive an email from MCB to schedule your exam.
