Our Beliefs

Refocus Recovery is focused on building a partnership network that works together, scaling to meet the increasing need more effectively than the organizations who provide services in a silo. We believe that:

Recovery communities are built through collaboration and engagement

Everyone deserves to live a healthy life, free from substance misuse

In-person advocacy & strong community capital is critical to recovery

Public education of the benefits of community engagement in recovery is necessary for lasting positive change and de-stigmatization

Refocus Recovery assisted in shepherding those with an SUD to a life of recovery by focusing on the removal of six practical barriers: gaining job skills, accessing housing, accessing transportation, addressing legal issues, alleviating financial burdens and restoring families.

How Your Support Helps

Increased Access to CPRS Services
The largest barrier to recovery is the workforce shortage: as the only RCO in Minnesota providing free CPRS training, we have created the largest CPRS workforce in the state in less than 18 months. We have facilitated over 90,000 service hours to date.
Specialized Support Through Community Partnerships
Through relationships with culturally-specific organizations we are able to provide specialized support to underserved and marginalized communities who have historically been left behind.
Building Recovery Community Centers
Refocus Recovery envisions a community where recovery support, access, treatment and housing will be in one place for those in need. With on-site CPRS staff from different communities, culturally diverse, self-sustaining and unique infrastructures will be built.
Building Community, Connections and Careers
Creating a reliable recovery network through peer-to-peer relationships that engage and uplift individual members
